Selena Gomez looks like a renaissance princess at the Golden Globes

Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez looked like renaissance princesses at the Golden Globes, After a hiatus last year, the Golden Globes are back and in full force This year, the guest list is even more stacked, including Selena Gomez, who is nominated for her first Golden Globe Award. The actor, singer, and producer were nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Television Series in a Musical or Comedy for her portrayal of Mabel in Hulu's Only Murders in the Building.

   We can always count on Gomez, and her Golden Globes debut was no different. Stylist Kate Young dressed Gomez in a black velvet Valentino gown with a strapless V-neckline and a high slit. Her dress features gorgeous plum puffed sleeves with their own train, effectively adding a "dark princess" vibe to her look. And to further the ethereal theme, Young added leaf-shaped diamond drop earrings to Gomez's ensemble.

On the beauty front, celebrity nail artist Tom Bachick added an unexpected sparkly accessory to her look with a glossy nude almond-shaped mane. Bachick used two coats of Après Nail Gel Couloure ($15) in Shade Forgotten Film and then topped her nails with Swarovski Pixie Dust.

For her hair, Gomez relied on her longtime stylist Marisa Marino, who used all Rene Furter products. "I started by blow drying her hair smooth with an Olivia Garden Ceramic Round Brush ($25)," says Marino. "Then, I added René Furterer Style Holding Gel ($30) and pulled her hair into a high ponytail, leaving her bangs in front and securing with a hair tie." Next, Marino curled Gomez's ponytail before spraying it with Rene Furter's Style Finishing Spray ($34). Then, Marino brushed Selena's bangs into a ponytail and secured her hair around a rubber band to ensure the look would last all night. "Finally, I sprayed with René Furterer Style Shine Mist ($34) for extra shine," says Marino.

For her makeup, Gomez's makeup artist, Hung VanGo, relied on Olehenriksen's products to ensure a proper base for her radiant glam. She used a combination of Barrier Booster Orange Ferment Essence ($44) to add hydration to the skin, as well as Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum ($68) for added radiance, and Strength Trainer Peptide Boost Moisturizer ($48) to lock in moisture.    For her makeup, VanGo matched Selena's eyeshadow from the Morphe x Abby Roberts The Outcasts Artistry Palette ($34) with her sleeve to create a pale purple smoky eye. The makeup artist added a coral flush to her cheeks, along with a nude shade to create plump lips and brushed-up brows to frame her face.

Sure, her dress may serve up a princess vibe, but Selena's overall glam gives her a regal look for her evening at the Golden Globes.
