Lionel Messi has won the FIFA Player of the Year 2022 award. Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi were also rewarded for their performances and attributes alongside the Argentine striker at the FIFPro Men's World 11.
Three Parisians were honored during the evening.
Lionel Messi won FIFA's best male player award. Among the three finalists were Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema. The World Cup winner was named FIFA Men's Player of the Year after an outstanding year with Paris Saint-Germain and the Argentina national team. In total, the Parisian striker scored 29 goals and provided 20 assists in 2022.
In addition to being named the 2022 Player of the Year, he is also ranked No. 30 in the FIFPRO Men's World XI.

The performance earned him a place in the FIFPro Men's World XI, along with Paris fullback Achraf Hakimi, who led his Moroccan side to the World Cup semi-finals.
