China has overcome Putin's tensions over war

China pledged a stronger partnership with Russia on Wednesday and US President Joe Biden rallied NATO allies in Eastern Europe amid rising global tensions ahead of the anniversary of Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.
President Vladimir Putin said at a huge state-organized national rally in Moscow that Russia was fighting for its "historic" lands in Ukraine, and that its soldiers were "fighting heroically, bravely and bravely - we are proud of them".
In Ukraine, classes moved online for the rest of the week in fear of an upsurge in Russian missile attacks a year after the February 24 invasion.

Russia is scheduled to start military exercises with China in South Africa on Friday and sent a frigate equipped with a new generation of hypersonic cruise missiles.

Polish President Andrzej Duda said at a meeting in Warsaw of nine members of eastern NATO that Russia's aggression against Ukraine has changed the security situation in Europe. Biden said Washington is committed to defending every inch of the coalition's territory.
"You are the front line of our collective defense," the president told a summit of countries that joined the Western military alliance after allying with Moscow during the Cold War.
Most of them are now among the strongest supporters of military aid to Ukraine and in a joint declaration called for a NATO presence on its eastern flank.
Biden said the invasion tested the world but Washington and its allies showed they would stand up for democracy. He rejected Russia's assertions that the West seeks to control or destroy Russia and accused Moscow of committing crimes against humanity
