Hong Kong police have arrested three people for killing and dismembering a 28-year-old model after authorities alleged a financial dispute with her ex-husband's family.

The partial remains of influencer Abby Choi, who appeared on the digital cover of L'Official Monaco fashion magazine last week, were found in a village house, police said.

Super Alan Chung told reporters on Saturday that police were still trying to identify the head, after discovering a woman's body parts inside a refrigerator.

model Abby Choi's ex-husband's father, mother, and older brother have been arrested and will be charged with murder, he added. Her ex-husband's whereabouts are unknown.

"We believe the victim and her ex-husband's family had several financial disputes involving large amounts of money," Chung said."Someone was unhappy with the way the victim handled his wealth."

Choi was reported missing on Wednesday. She was allegedly last seen by Abby Choi her ex-husband's brother, who also worked as her driver. Police also alleged that the family had previously lied to mislead investigators.

The village house had recently been rented out and was unusual, suggesting it was set up to dispose of Choi's body, Chung added.
